On the 3rd of December 2021 adult learners, experts on sustainable development and civil society issues gathered in the beautiful capital of Finland, Helsinki, for the first workshop session “Getting closer with UN SDGs”.
The main objective of the workshop session is for participants to learn from one another while also hearing from adults and vulnerable groups about their own perspectives on relevant sustainable development issues.
To develop examples, tasks, and guidelines for inclusion in the project’s main output, an educational toolkit and web resource, an intensive amount of work (including group tasks, creative challenges, conversation exercises, innovative approaches developed by the target group, etc.) was done during the workshops. Additionally, a session of partner best practices exchange was organized as part of this event.
First part of the workshop session was dedicated to gathering and developing materials, examples, guidelines and methodology for educational toolkit “Civil society in building the green sustainable and digital future of the Nordic-Baltic region”. And the second was committed to Exchange of best practices by partners and practising them for reach communities.
The workshop session was followed by three training sessions lead by Anneli Ohvril (Executive Director, Let’s Do It World) and Ingrid Nielsen (independent expert Environmental Communications Expert).
