The first transnational meeting of partners and experts “Together Towards a Green, Sustainable and Digital Society” in Copenhagen, Denmark, began with a brief introduction to the work and location of the Crossing Borders partner. Then all meeting participants took part in an interactive workshop on the Sustainable Development Goals, focusing mainly on climate action, quality education, sustainable cities and communities. During the workshop, people focused on their neighborhood and their personal relationship to the Sustainable Development Goals in a creative way, gaining new knowledge and sharing experiences from different countries to address the issues raised.
The second day took place with the help of the Danish organization Folkevirke, which is a women’s cross-political public education or adult education movement. The session was opened by Ingrid Nielsen (independent expert on environmental communications), who conducted a training session “Sustainable Development and the UN SDGs in Adult Education”. Also on the day, the experts focused on developing educational games and sharing best practices of different countries and their institutions.
