Goal: The main goal of the project is to strengthen and increase Nordic-Baltic collaboration on the themes of SDGs by promoting sustainable lifestyle choices, green growth, sustainability and empowerment of CSOs in building the green future of the Nordic-Baltic region. By this project we aim to increase knowledge of NGO leaders and community members, young adults and other stakeholders working with vulnerable groups about the importance of achievement of the UN SDGs and the need to reduce overconsumption, asit has a huge environmental and climate footprint

11.00 – 11.10 Project presentation and meeting goals – Vassili Golikov, Programme director of SSCW (Estonia)
11.10 – 12.30 Training: “Getting to know UN SDGs and Responsible consumption” – Jenni Kaupila, Advocacy Office of UNA Finland
12.30 – 13.00 Discussion in working groups:

  • “Empowerment of sustainability at local level and reducing overconsumption of goods and food – best practices” 
  • “How to empower CSOs to take an active role in the green transition” Nordic-Baltic approach”.

13.00 – 13.45 Lunch (UniCafe Soc&Kom)

14.00 – 15.00 Visiting UNA Finland and sharing best practices

15.00 – 16.00 Developing collaboration initiatives for CSOs empowerment from NCP funding (two initiatives)

9.00 – 10.00  Sharing own experiences with innovation solutions and useful tools (each partner)
10.00 – 12.00 Training: “Communication and Networking in promotion of SDGs at community level” – Vassili Golikov, Programme and Communication Director of SSCW
12.00 – 13.00 Working group on preparation of the political statement for the International Conference (What kind of  necessary changes we need to do in our states/business field and of course CSO working strategies and implementation action plans to more sustainable and environmentally friendly).
14.00 – 15.00 Lunch in Helsinki
15.00 – 17.00 Visiting Helsinki green solutions and discovering urban space.
17.00 – 20.00 Free time

10.00 – 11.00 Summary and departure.

Practical information:

Danish and  Swedish groups will need to go directly from airport to the venue which is UNA Finland Office, Helsinki, Hakaniemi, Siltasaarenkatu 4, 7th floor (please use public transportation to arrive at Helsinki railway station from the airport). If needed we will assist to meet you at the railway station. 

NB!!! Icelandic, Norwegian and Finnish group representatives will be gathered at the hotel reception and will use public transport to reach the UNA Finland office (Helsinki, Hakaniemi, Siltasaarenkatu 4, 7th floor) by 10.30 am.
